FAQs
Is Halcyon suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The formula is made without synthetic fragrance, drying alcohols, or harsh surfactants. It’s intentionally gentle and barrier-supportive.
Can I use it to remove makeup?
Yes, it removes light makeup and daily impurities with ease. For heavier makeup, we recommend a double cleanse.
Is it fragrance or essential oil–free?
Halcyon contains a minimal essential oil blend used only for its soft aromatic experience—not as a functional active. Patch testing is recommended for sensitive skin.
Is the scent strong?
No. The scent is soft and subtle—derived only from natural essential oils used in low concentrations to support a grounding sensory experience.
Can I use this every day?
Absolutely. Halcyon is designed to be used morning and/or evening as part of your daily skincare ritual.
How long does one bottle last?
With daily use, Halcyon typically lasts 6–8 weeks. A little goes a long way.
Is the bottle refillable?
Yes. We encourage reuse. Simply peel off the label once you're done, rinse the bottle and pump with warm soapy water and leave to air dry upside down.
We’re currently developing a refill system—join our mailing list to be the first to know when it launches.
As the bottle is 100ml capacity, it's suitable for use in you carry-on luggage during air travel.
What do these ingredients mean?
Phenoxyethanol
Included at a very low concentration to keep your product fresh and free from harmful bacteria. While often misunderstood, it’s one of the most skin-compatible and globally approved preservatives available. We choose it because it’s effective and gentle when used responsibly—helping to avoid mould and spoilage, especially in water-based formulas.
Ethylhexylglycerin
A safe, plant-derived ingredient that acts as both a moisturiser and preservative booster. It’s a smart, modern alternative to outdated, irritating preservatives.
Behenyl Alcohol, Arachidyl Alcohol
Despite the word "alcohol," these are fatty alcohols—derived from plant oils—that are moisturising and non-drying. They’re often misunderstood but are completely different from drying or denatured alcohols.
Decyl Glucoside
A biodegradable cleanser derived from coconut and sugar. It’s one of the gentlest cleansing agents available and is ideal for sensitive skin and those avoiding sulphates or harsh surfactants.
